Claire A. Murray was born and raised in New York City. She is a graduate of Barnard College and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and served as the secretary of the National Council for a Beautiful Eye
Murray's first novel, Watching You, was published by St. Martin's Press in 2005. Her second novel, Harder Than It Looked, was published by St.
Martin's Press in 2011. Harder Than It Looked won Kirkus Reviews’ "Best Fiction" award as well as an Indie Next Pick for 2012. Her third novel, "The Life and Times of Bailey Croy," is now available from St.
Martin's Press.
